The Department of Demography has introduced ‘Applied Demography’ programme under the Study Stream for the academic year 2015/2016. In a context where national and world development priorities are guided by the framework of the 2015 Post Development Agenda, ‘Applied Demography’ gains considerable priority as population dynamics play a major role in all development issues. The study stream ‘Applied Demography’ is designed based on this context to provide students with a sound knowledge in both theory and applications.
