  • This course aims to teach the students about the fundamentals of hotel operations and various conceptual and practical aspects of hotel management and human resource development of this industry, using the case studies in different aspects of hotel operations in Sri Lanka and rest of the world.

  • This course intends to equip the students with contemporary knowledge of information and communication technology (ICT) and its applicability of various areas of tourism industry.Intended objective of the course is to emphasis the importance of necessary ICT skills in tourism and combining it with core tourism operations of the students in order to expand their capacity of working in the travel and tourism industry.

    This course also attempts to change the student‟s perception of tourism ICT as an operational tool by introducing strategic use of ICT in tourism industry.

  • As this diploma program is expected the student to do a self-study assignment, this course has been designed to provide necessary knowledge and skills on project preparation, project appraisals, research methodologies, techniques in data collection and data analyzing and report writing as well. The reports shall also be based on the three months internship experience.
