Further, this\u00a0programme provides an opportunity for candidates to follow a Master of Philosophy (MPhil.) Degree in\u00a0Geography after the successful completion of the Masters degree.<\/p>\n<p>The main objective of this course focuses on broadening the base of education on Regional and Environmental Development by extending it to those who are already in the related sectors effectively and who are desirous of extending services.<\/p>\n<p>Specially, this programme aims to;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>provide participants with comprehensive coverage of theory and practice in the field of Environmental and Regional Development,<\/li>\n<li>enable participants to investigate the various processes, techniques and methods involved in Environment and Regional Development and be able to evaluate their effectiveness.<\/li>\n<li>provide avenues or acceptable qualification and exposure for those who expect to follow MPhil or Ph.D. degree in Geography<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Duration<\/u><\/strong>: One Year\u00a0(Weekends Only)<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Application Fee<\/u><\/strong>: LKR 2000<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Course Fee<\/u><\/strong><u>:<\/u>\u00a0LKR 125,000.00 (Excluding Library fee LKR 1500)<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Mode of lectures<\/u><\/strong>: Onsite and Online<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Medium<\/u><\/strong>: English<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Target groups:<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0Officers in public and private sectors, relevant civil organizations, graduate and postgraduate students of Universities and Institutions who are engaged in work related to Environment and Regional Development can apply.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Course Coordinator<\/strong>:\u00a0 Dr. Omala Perera<\/p>\n<p><strong>Programme Assistant<\/strong>: Ms. K.
