From the Dharma Hall to the Public Square<\/b><\/p>\n

The Youth Wellness Society, together with the Political Science Association of the Faculty of Arts, organized a public discussion titled “From the Dharma Hall to the Public Square” on 26 May 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n

The programme explored the relevance of Buddhist philosophy in addressing contemporary social and political issues while encouraging participants to reflect on ethical values, social responsibility, and civic engagement.<\/span><\/p>\n

The keynote lecture was delivered by Ven. Professor Uduhawara Ananda Thero, while the discussion session was moderated by Senior Lecturer Dhamma Dissanayake. Students actively participated by sharing their perspectives and engaging in meaningful dialogue.<\/span><\/p>\n

The programme provided an opportunity for students to connect philosophical thought with contemporary social challenges and democratic public discourse.<\/span><\/p>\n
