{"id":955,"date":"2026-08-03T03:32:56","date_gmt":"2026-08-03T03:32:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arts.cmb.ac.lk\/politic\/?p=955"},"modified":"2026-08-03T03:36:14","modified_gmt":"2026-08-03T03:36:14","slug":"culmination-of-the-kattankudy-field-research-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arts.cmb.ac.lk\/politic\/index.php\/culmination-of-the-kattankudy-field-research-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"Culmination of the Kattankudy Field Research Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Culmination of the Kattankudy Field Research Programme<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Department of Political Science and Public Policy organized the Culmination of the Kattankudy Field Research Programme on 15 June 2026 to showcase the findings of the final-year Political Science Special Degree students who completed their field research training in Kattankudy during September 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The field research programme aimed to cultivate research skills, cultural sensitivity, and practical field experience among undergraduate students. During the culmination event, students presented their findings under four thematic areas:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Civil Society and Politics\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Women\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Business and Trade\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Youth\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The programme was conducted under the guidance of the Acting Head of the Department, Dr. Crishni Silva, and was generously funded by the Zam Zam Foundation.
