{"id":962,"date":"2026-08-04T05:38:30","date_gmt":"2026-08-04T05:38:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arts.cmb.ac.lk\/politic\/?p=962"},"modified":"2026-08-04T05:38:30","modified_gmt":"2026-08-04T05:38:30","slug":"workshop-on-disaster-management-and-the-impacts-of-cyclone-ditwah","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arts.cmb.ac.lk\/politic\/index.php\/workshop-on-disaster-management-and-the-impacts-of-cyclone-ditwah\/","title":{"rendered":"Workshop on Disaster Management and the Impacts of Cyclone Ditwah"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Date: 18 June 2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Department of Political Science and Public Policy organized a workshop titled &#8220;Disaster Management and the Impacts of Cyclone Ditwah&#8221; on 18 June 2026 for final-year Political Science Special Degree students.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The workshop was designed as preparatory training for the Department&#8217;s annual field research programme under the theme &#8220;Disaster Risk Governance and Cyclone Ditwah Impacts in Sri Lanka.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The workshop focused on disaster prevention, preparedness, emergency response, recovery, and the institutional mechanisms of disaster risk governance in Sri Lanka.
