With funding from the University, the programme is organized for 5 consecutive days in an area in Sri Lanka. Each year a team of staff are appointed to organise the programme. The team would visit the area beforehand and obtain the necessary permissions from the local government authorities to have the Field Training Programme. With support from the locals, an intensive hands-on\u00a0training programme is held.
