Learn English for a Business Environment
Introduction
The Diploma in Business English is a one-year programme that is conducted in a blended mode with both online and face-to-face interactive learning opportunities. This offers the opportunity for the participants to earn a qualification that will add value to their professional life.
The programme enables the participants to experience online learning which will equip them not only with language skills but also with IT skills.

Candidates who are successful at all of the above will be awarded the Diploma in Business English from the University of Colombo.
A – Pass the Selection Test
or
B – Pass the Certificate in Business English
Advanced Level, University of Colombo
And
-Basic Computer Skills
And
C- Be above 18 years of age

Deposit the application fee of Rs. 1,500 at any branch of People’s Bank.

The selection test consists of a written component and an interview.
- Date: 27th December 2026
- Time: 9.30 a.m.
- Venue: Will be communicated to applicants upon application.
Important: Applicants are required to bring their National Identity Card (NIC) when attending the selection test.
The course fee of Rs. 65,000 should be deposited at any branch of People’s Bank into the account number that will be communicated to selected applicants.
Applicants are required to email a scanned copy of their bank deposit slip and a scanned stamp-sized photograph to ebiz@delt.cmb.ac.lk.
The course fee may be paid in two instalments:
- First instalment: Rs. 40,000
- Second instalment: Rs. 25,000
