Donation of OrCam Read Devices to CDEREP, Faculty of Arts
Orel IT (Pvt) Ltd. donated 2 OrCam Read Devices to CEDREP on 6th August 2021 at a brief event held at the Board Room of the Faculty of Arts, University of Colombo. Snr. Prof. Lasantha Manawadu- Dean, Faculty of Arts, Mr P.M.S.Bandara- Deputy Registrar, Faculty of Arts, Dr Tharindi Udalagama- Director, CEDREP, Mr. Buddhika Dissanayake- Management Assistant, CEDREP, Mr. Suranaga Perera- Alternative Communication Officer, CEDREP, Ms. Thamali Jayasinghe- Trainee, CEDREP attended the event on behalf of the Faculty. Dr. Upendra Peiris- Chief Executive Officer- Orel IT (Pvt) Ltd, Mr. Kalinga Wickramage-Chief Marketing Officer- Orel IT (Pvt) Ltd., and two other officers attended the event on behalf of the company. In addition, we invited three of our partially blind students, Gayani, Savindu, and Sahan to participate and try out the devices. The donations were handed over to the students for their future use by the officers of Orel IT (Pvt) Ltd.
