A Guest Lecture on “Measuring Healthy and Active Ageing in Asia”
The Department of Demography, Faculty of Arts, University of Colombo in collaboration with the Population Association of Sri Lanka (PASL) conducted a guest lecture on 19th February 2024, from 9.00am to 10.30am at Lecture Hall 223, Faculty of Arts, on the topic “Measuring Healthy and Active Ageing in Asia”. The resource person for this guest lecture was Dr. Reiko Hayashi, President, Asian Population Association and Deputy Director General, National Institute of Population and Social Security Research (IPSS), Japan. All emeritus professors, professors and the academic staff members of the Department of Demography also joined this event. The lecture was succeeded with the participation of over 100 students who actively engaged in a dialog after the lecture.
