STUDY PROGRAMMES MPhil / PhD in Demography – 2025

The Department of Demography at the University of Colombo invites applications for its MPhil/PhD in Demography programme (2025 intake). This research degree is designed for those working in population research, policy, or teaching. Students begin enrolled in the MPhil programme, with the possibility of upgrading to a PhD.

The programme fee is LKR 300,000 for the MPhil and LKR 450,000 for the PhD, payable in installments. The application deadline has been extended to 15 September 2025.
