Events in line with the Centenary Celebrations

 

 

 

 

  • South Asian Economics Students’ Meet (SAESM)

The 15th SAESM will be held in 2021. This will be organized by the Department of Economics with the participation of about 250 students of Economics in South Asia.

 

  • International Tourism Research Conference & Tourism Leaders’ Summit (ITRC & TLS)

 ITRC and TLS will be organized by the Department of Economics to provide input  to the industry practitioners to address the key issues faced by the tourism industry in Sri Lanka. This will be held parallel to the World Tourism Day.

 

  • Publication of Special Research Volume

The academic staff of the Department of Economics will launch a research volume collaboratively.

 

  • Tourism Economics Research Publication

This event will be organized by Prof. D.A.C. Silva in  collaboration  with the  Tourism Postgraduate Programme.

 

  • Short Video Clip

This video clip will be created highlighting the special events in the history of the Department of Economics and will be shared via YouTube.
