The Department of International Relations organized a field excursion for INR 3271 Maritime Security students to the National Aquatic Resources Research and Development Agency (NARA) on Thursday, March 27, 2025.
Students explored the Maritime Museum and attended insightful lectures on topics such as Oceanography, Hydrography, fishing craft development, fishing methods, and maritime issues between Sri Lanka and India. Discussions also covered international research projects and internship opportunities.
The visit included stops at the National Hydrographic Office and other key offices, offering valuable insights into disaster management, early warning systems, and technical methodologies.
