During the latter half of the 70’s a collaboration agreement was concluded between the University of Colombo and NUFFIC (Netherlands Universities Fund for International Co-operation) to conduct research and training programmes in this Department. There are about 30 Mirror Stereoscopes donated by the NUFFIC project and hence the courses on Aerial Photographs (Remote sensing) interpretation are conducted for the undergraduate students as well as the post graduate students.
