
Workshop Series for MPhil and PhD Programs 2025
The Department of Buddhist Studies, University of Colombo, has introduced a series of specialized workshops to strengthen the research capacity and academic competencies of candidates enrolled in its MPhil and PhD programmes 2025.
During the First Semester, participants successfully completed three workshop series: Theravada Tradition: Belief and Practice, Research Methodology for Buddhist Studies, and English for Academic Purposes.
The Second Semester is currently in progress, offering advanced workshops on Mahayana and Vajrayana Traditions: Belief and Practice, Religious Traditions: Comparative Perspectives, Philosophical Traditions: Comparative Perspectives, and Advanced Pali Readings. These workshops are designed to provide candidates with a broader interdisciplinary understanding of Buddhist studies while further developing their research, analytical, and language skills.
