Educational Exhibition - World Environmental Day 2015

Department of Geography, University of Colombo organized an educational exhibition on 05th June, 2015, from 8.00 am to 4.30 pm to celebrate the World Environmental Day – 2015, with the collaboration of Central Environmental Authority, Department of Wild Life and Department of Forestry.

Approximately, 2000 students, from both University and the Schools in the vicinity, were participated in this event. In addition, arrangements were made to conduct a discussion on “Contemporary Environment Issues”, headed by an invited Guest Lecturer, with the participation of students.

This exhibition was more useful for students and respective teachers, who follow Geography and Environmental Studies as a subject. This was a great opportunity to feel the importance of our environment and safeguard them for our future generation.
