  • Annual Sinhala Studies Symposium/ Seminar

In August 2021,  the Annual Sinhala Studies Symposium will be held to mark the centenary of teaching Sinhala in Higher Education. 

 

  • Publication of 2019 Sinhala Studies Symposium 

This event marks the launch of the collection of full papers of the 2019 Sinhala Studies Symposium. 

 

  1. A special volume of Sarasa

This would be a department publication which consists of a collection of research papers to mark the centenary of teaching Sinhala in Higher Education. 

 

  • Siyvasaka Sinhala Adhyana Lipi

This would be a department publication which is an edited volume on selected papers on Sinhala Studies (by a former Professor of Sinhala).

 

  • Staff Publications 

Staff Publications in connection with the centenary celebrations.

 

  • Sinhala Book Fair 

A Book Fair will be organized within the faculty premises to showcase the publications of the Staff.

 

  • Refurbishment of Emeritus Professors’ Room

The Department will refurbish the Emeritus Professors’ Room  (304).
