Annual Research Symposium on Sinhala Studies 2022 – 22nd Sept.
The 11th Annual Research Symposium on Sinhala Studies organized by the Department of Sinhala, University of Colombo was held on 22nd September 2022 at 9.00 am at the NAT with the presence of the Vice Chancellor and other invitees, scholars, and students. This year’s symposium was held under the theme of ‘ Critical Discourses on Sinhala language and literature. The keynote address was delivered by Professor Sarath Wijesooriya, Department of Sinhala, UoC. This annual symposium provides a forum for students and scholars in the field of Sinhala studies to disseminate their research findings to a wider audience. In connection with this event, a book exhibition and sale was held on the Faculty premises from 20th – 22nd September 2022.
