Donation of Sinhala Books to the Department of Sinhala Library – 21st Nov.
A collection of Sinhala books in the possession of Morawaka P. F. Abhayawickrama’s (1886-1966) personal library was donated to the Department of Sinhala Library, University of Colombo on 21st November 2021 at Morawaka. Mr. P.F. Abhyawickrma was a renowned Sinhala scholar and author who served as School Principal in the Morawaka area. Professor Sandagomi Coperahewa, Head / Department of Sinhala, and Professor Sarath Wijesooriya accepted this donation from Mr. Ranjan Abhayawickrama, grandson of late Mr. P.F. Abhayawickrama.
