From Coping to Improving: The Role of Humanities and Social Sciences in Crisis Contexts
The International Conference of the Faculty of Arts, University of Colombo (IConArts), is an annual research symposium that is dedicated to the advancement of research in the Humanities and Social Sciences.
IConArts 2022 focuses on the innovation and resilience demonstrated by the field of Humanities and Social Sciences amidst the myriad problems initiated or exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic and numerous other crises. The symposium will provide a platform for scholars from different academic disciplines to reflect on both individual and shared challenges forced upon them and the strategies adopted to mitigate the impact of these challenges.
The Organising Committee welcomes abstracts from a wide variety of interdisciplinary and theoretical perspectives on any one of the sub themes listed below or related topics.
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
Theme: From Coping to Improving: The Role of Humanities and Social Sciences in Crisis Contexts
The Organising Committee of the International Conference of the Faculty of Arts, University of Colombo (IConArts) 2022 invites academic staff members and postgraduate students of the University of Colombo to submit abstracts to be considered for presentation at the technical sessions of the IConArts 2022 scheduled to be held on 16th December 2022. The abstracts should be based on original research work and, if accepted, should be presented by a staff member or a postgraduate student of the University of Colombo. All accepted abstracts will be published in the Proceedings Book of IConArts 2022.
To be considered for evaluation, each submission should include the following documents:
1. An abstract not exceeding 300 words
2. A declaration form completed and signed by the Corresponding Author
Guidelines for the preparation of abstracts are given below. Please note that abstracts that are not prepared according to the guidelines provided, or are submitted after the deadline, will not be considered for review. The Editorial Committee of IConArts 2022 reserves the right to make alterations to the text of the abstract in order to improve its quality.
