Awareness Workshop on Media Law

The University Mass Communication Teachers Association (UMTA), the Department of Mass Communication, and the University of Kelaniya, in collaboration with the Media Law Forum and the Digital Media Club of the Faculty of Arts, have conducted an awareness workshop on Media Law for undergraduates in the University of Colombo. The workshop was aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of media laws, including the Online Safety Act, and their impact on media practice. This event provided an excellent opportunity for undergraduates to engage with legal experts, media practitioners, and scholars through lectures and group discussions.
