Extension Courses in English Department of English, University of Colombo

The Department of English, University of Colombo, has been conducting a wide range of Extension Courses in English since 1983.

We offer Diploma and Certificate Courses designed for teachers, school leavers, working professionals, job seekers, and individuals who are not currently enrolled in any university. All courses are conducted on weekends for the convenience of participants.

We are now accepting applications for the second batch of the following three (03) Certificate Courses in English, each with a 4-month duration:

1. Essentials in Teaching English Literature
2. Public Speaking in English
3. Office Communication in English
