Diploma in International Migration Studies (2027)

The Diploma in International Migration Studies is a one-year programme, taught in English and Sinhala, starting in January 2027. It recognises the importance of international migration to economic development in both origin and destination countries, and the need to develop and upskill the people who work in this area. Participants explore the theoretical and practical aspects of migration from an interdisciplinary perspective, and build the skills to identify migration-related issues and put relevant measures in place to address them. The programme is open to researchers, academics, NGO staff and others working in, or intending to work in, the migration sector, and its entry requirements are flexible, starting from G.C.E. Advanced Level or equivalent qualifications. Applications close on 30 November 2026.
