Welcome to the Career Guidance Unit of Faculty of Arts, University of Colombo. The Career Guidance Unit (CGU) of Faculty of Arts, University of Colombo, offers a variety of services ranging from guidance on future careers, capacity building, skills development, mentoring programmes, job search programmes, and to career fairs. The unit functions directly under the Dean of the Faculty of Arts. Career Guidance Unit of the Faculty of Arts is implemented with modern mechanisms to uplift the professional and personal capacities of Arts faculty undergraduates.

It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you all to our official website as the Director of the Career Guidance Unit of Faculty of Arts, University of Colombo.
Today’s job market has become very competitive and therefore requires individuals who are well versatile in academic and research related skills as well having a set of soft skills related to improve efficiency within the work environment.
It is my goal to enhance and further enrich these soft skills within undergraduates of the faculty through career developing activities, sessions and programs. The unit is actively collaborating with external organizations, experts and well- wishers in various fields to enhance practical skills of our undergraduates. I encourage and invite all of the undergraduates of the Faculty of Arts to gain the benefits offered by our unit which will help you to enter the world after your university education as a productive and skilled individual.
