First Steering Committee Meeting 22nd Aug 2023

The Youth Wellness Center, Faculty of Arts, held the first Steering Committee Meeting on August 22, 2023, from 2 p.m. onwards at the Faculty Boardroom. The meeting was held with the participation of the members of the founding organizations, including the United Nations Population Fund (UNPFA) the Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement, and student representatives of the Student Union and the Youth Wellness Society. The Director of the YWC has presented the overall objectives of the Center, whereas the Coordinator has presented the ongoing and future activities for the calendar months: of April to December 2023. The Activity Coordinator has reported on the signed MoUs and agreements and their progress. Student representatives were given space to discuss students’ requirements under the key themes of the center. The Steering Committee was chaired by the Dean, Faculty of Arts Senior Professor Lasantha Manawadu.
