V- Force Future Leaders Forum- Let’s Move Up
According to a concept of the V-Force team of Sirasa media network ‘V- Force Future Leaders Forum’, was held successfully on the 24th of June, 2023 as the first phase of a series of motivational workshops for university undergraduates of Sri Lanka. 170 undergraduates of the Faculty of Arts, University of Colombo participated for the forum along with other undergraduates from universities of Ruhuna, Peradeniya, Kelaniya and the Open University.
The students were able to become a part of this valuable opportunity under the guidance of Dean of Faculty of Arts, Senior Professor Lasantha Manawadu and with the coordination of Senior Student Counsellor of University of Colombo, Dr. Rajitha Silva, and Director of the Career Guidance Unit of Faculty of Arts Mr. Saman Wanasinghe, the Assistant Student Counsellor of University of Colombo, Ms. Supeshala Rathnayaka and the Demonstrator of the Career Guidance Unit of Faculty of Arts, Ms. Poojanee Galhenege. The enthusiastic participation of students of the faculty was highlighted throughout the forum.
This forum was organized with the aim of empowering the youth to take on leadership roles, foster teamwork and provide them with networking opportunities. The forum was lined up with motivational lectures from the start to the end which also included interactive sessions with the participants. Motivational lectures and discussions were led by renowned guest speakers including Mr. Chandana Sooriyabandara, Mr.Kelum Weligama, Mr. Dulith Herath, Dr. Ranil Sugathadasa, Mr. Chevaan Daniel, Mr. Roshan Watawala, and Mr. Ruwan Keragala.
