The Department of Geography organized a Guest Lecture on Natural Hazards at the Room no. 23A, Department of Geography, on 14th November 2017 from 12.00 noon to 2.00 p.m. The lecture was delivered by Mr. Sugath Dissanayaka, Director (Awareness), Disaster Management Center, Colombo.

The Vice Chancellor, Senior Professor Lakshman Disanayaka graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Keynote speech was delivered by Emeritus Professor Gamini Dela Bandara, University of Kelaniya.
