New Year Celebration at the Faculty of Arts, University of Colombo

The Faculty of Arts, University of Colombo, stepped into the year 2023 with a celebration offering face-to-face learning opportunities for all Undergraduate students in the Faculty. The celebration was graced by the Vice-Chancellor, Senior Professor (Chair), H.D. Karunaratne, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Senior Professor Lasantha Manawadu, and Registrar, University of Colombo, Mr. K.A.S. Edward, Department Heads and senior administrative staff. The celebration was held under the coordination of the Deputy Registrar of the Faculty of Arts, Mr. P.M.S. Bandara, with the participation of Academic and Non-academic staff of the Faculty. The event drew hundreds of students returning to this gathering held at the green tables area of the Faculty at 8 a.m. today, January 3, 2023. The event also marked the reopening of the Faculty for all four years for on-site lectures after a three-year absence and the closure of the onsite lectures due to the pandemic and the economic crisis.
